SOsync only works with artists and songwriters pitching their own original songs. It's okay if you have a publishing deal or label but it has to be you pitching (not them on your behalf) and they need to be okay with the contracts you've signed (if any) for me to pitch your songs. We do not work with major publishers or labels.

Do

• Do your research - Everything you should need is on SO-sync - read it! 
• Do follow the big rule - do not share pitches outside the group!
• Do be polite and brief - I don't need details, I just want to hear the song if you are sending me a pitch
• Do make the pitch count - do not send songs that do not match the pitch
• Do manage your catalog of songs - it's up to you to know if you've already signed a song with me, and if your co-writers are sending the same song for pitches. If you've signed a song with me, it is also up to you to alert me if there are changes in publishing or if you want a song removed from the catalog per the contract.
• Do take it seriously - I do, and I will want to work with you if you are professional and respectful

Don't

• Don't expect an answer right away - we get a lot of emails/songs so please be patient
• Don't name drop - we don't care if your co-writer is a hit songwriter or a total unknown
• Don't tell us if we already have a song of yours signed that would work for the pitch - we know the catalog well and will pitch if it fits
• Don't send us songs that you haven't cleared with your own co-writers - this wastes everyone's time
• Don't ask us to listen to a song of yours outside of an open pitch cycle or give you advice. We have a process for this here.
